About the escape room
Oh, hello and welcome to my cosy little home! I'm Gandrie, well, ahhh, you'd know that, with me being your Uncle! I know you've always wanted to go on one of my adventures, but you've never been quite ready... until now!. I've had to go up ahead, catch up with an old friend, but if you can prove you are ready by solving my little challenges and of course finding out where I've gone! Then I'll see you out there, adventuring! I've left a letter for you to read, it will help kick off today's challenges. Good luck!

AI Overview

AIPlayers consistently praise the magical atmosphere and thoughtful theming. Puzzles are generally strong and varied, though one review flags some inconsistency in how mechanics behave. The venue offers two versions of the game—Standard and Dark Mode—which changes the tone and goals. One group notes it’s roughly a 45-minute trip from Auckland Sky Tower, but staff are accommodating.
WeaknessesA few players noticed inconsistency in puzzle mechanics. The location may be a longer drive for central Auckland visitors.
StrengthsRich, cozy fantasy setting with standout attention to detail. Good variety of puzzles and an option to choose between gentle adventure and a darker twist. Friendly, flexible staff leave a good impression.
SecurityNo reports of safety issues or hazards. No explicit data on the safety briefing, but nothing raised concerns.
Level of fearStandard mode feels warm and family-friendly. Dark Mode adds a light spooky edge with an evil wizard theme, more tense than terrifying.
Actors' gameNo clear mentions of live actors; interaction seems puzzle-driven. Staff are called accommodating and helpful.
Quality of riddlesPlenty of engaging, varied challenges that fit the theme nicely. Overall fair and fun, with an isolated note about inconsistent mechanics. Dark Mode may add time pressure vibes rather than pure complexity.
PlotA cozy letter from your uncle kicks off a quest to prove you’re ready and track where he’s gone. In Dark Mode, the goal pivots to escaping an evil wizard without spoilers.
Difficulty levelReads as medium difficulty for most teams; beginners should manage in Standard. Dark Mode ups the intensity and may feel tougher under pressure.
